Hi Kellie,
Just to say how professional and inspiring your yoga classes are. As you know, I have practiced yoga for many years and have attended a wide variety of schools here in Australia, as well as Canada, New York, New Zealand and South America. Thus, I feel in a position to make comparisons! Your Iyengar training stands-out amongst the, sometimes, dubious experience of other yoga teachers! My private sessions with you have been of great benefit in that I could explore, with your creativity, empathy and enthusiasm, postures that went deeper than is possible to do in a group class. Just wish my Saturdays were still free to continue ! The fact that you are continually exploring workshops and up-dating your training is crucial, not only to yourself, but also to people like myself - it shows.
See you in class soon! Lynda
"Kellie is one of my all-time favourite yoga teachers! It was hard to move some of the "review sliders" on the Yogatrail review site to reflect accurately what I really want to say about her because she is such an "organic" teacher ... she's in "the moment" when she teaches ... so sometimes she'll offer alignment advice frequently - if it's needed - and sometimes not, if it's not needed. Sometimes she will demonstrate more and sometimes she'll explain more. So, Kellie is a teacher whom I'd describe as one who is frequently in a state of "flow" and she brings this state of "flow" to her teaching and to her students. I've never had anything but what feels like a "complete" lesson with her, at whatever level we're at or whatever posture we're exploring ... because that's what we do in Kellie's classes - we "explore" the posture and come out of the experience wiser from that practice, better educated about the asanas fitting our individual bodies and having had fun and a great "workout" at the same time! I highly recommend Kellie as a teacher who steps you through a practice that focuses on correct alignment, strength and stability building postures via props - when they're useful - and more importantly, via sequences which offer great variety and opportunity to deepen your practice."
